This is how Magnifica began...

To start talking about Magnifica, it is necessary to tell you who is behind this brand, this movement that wants to deliver fashion made in Colombia at prices that allow us all to enjoy it.

My name is Camila Hernández , a Social Communicator by profession. On a professional level and thanks to life, I have been able to experience my career in different areas. My last years of work experience have been in the world of digital marketing, something that I definitely love and adore. Even so, I have always had a calling to UNDERTAKE, to CREATE , to want to do everything from scratch.

The whole path is learning

That's how in 2015 I started my first official venture, so to speak, because here I'm not taking into account all the ideas and things I sold at the University. My first project was with one of my best friends; an underwear brand, which gave me a lot of knowledge, but overcoming the fear of having something stable is not easy and I worked in different jobs while I was starting up, finally in 2018 I gave up on starting up and dedicated myself 100% to an office job.

Entrepreneurship is a calling

However, that 100% dedication didn't last long, because in 2019 Magnifica started, simply as a response to being able to calm my need to create and my love for fashion trends. That's how Magnifica came about, with the firm purpose I've always had that a woman doesn't have to spend a lot of money to look, feel good and believe in herself.

The beginnings

It is important for you to know that I think I know where this entrepreneurial instinct came from. I say I think, because in reality there are no entrepreneurs in my family and no one has tried to do it, which becomes even more difficult when I hear everyone's opinions while they tell me to continue with my professional stability and success - If you are doing well like this, why give up something that you are doing well at? You are already 30 years old.

My paternal grandmother, Elena, is my inspiration for entrepreneurship. She was a seamstress all her life, and I grew up with her. That's why my childhood memories are always surrounded by sewing machines and fabrics. She has created everything I have ever imagined on her machine. I even tell you that at 89 years old she still uses the sewing machine and helps us with another pet accessories business called You Pretty Dog .

I must confess something to you.

Despite the difficult times of the pandemic, in 2021 I gave entrepreneurship a new opportunity, dedicating myself 100% to Magnifica. Knowing that everything I build here by applying all my knowledge, especially in digital marketing, will be the way to grow and work towards this dream.
